Aamir Khan's Shocking And Potentially Dangerous Weight Gain
Aamir Khan dramatically changes his look putting his health at risk for his new movie Dangal
Aamir Khan's bulky look for Dangal
We all know what a perfectionist Aamir Khan is. Whether it was a film likeGhajini where he flaunted an eight pack or his unique look in films like Dil Chahta Hai and more recently Dhoom 3 and PK, the actor leaves no stones unturned to ensure he looks his very best.
For his upcoming film Dangal, Aamir has gone from 68 to a whopping 95 kilos. Apparently, his role of a 55-year-old wrestler requires him to look bulkier and that is what led to the decison to pile on the kilos. During the last schedule of the movie, he aims to lose weight and shoot the parts where the character is young.
Aamir is finding it increasingly difficult to manage his new weight. Speaking about the challenge he adds, "I am 95 kilos right now and that’s enough for the character. My breathing has changed… when I tie my laces, my stomach comes in between. After 20 seconds, I have to take a deep breath."
His family is extremely concerned about the dramatic weight gain and health experts warn that this might lead to several skin and hormonal imbalances. Aamir adds, "My mom and my wife are very worried about my health as they feel I am playing with my health. Even I feel the same."
Do you think Aamir is justified in going to any length to look the part?

Ranbir-Katrina wedding: Here's the latest news

Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor
Now that one Kapoor is already in the 'I do' phase, wagging tongues are busy shifting their focus to the other Kapoor. In case you're not clued in into the recent happenings of Bollywood, we're talking about Shahid Kapoor and, who else, but Ranbir Kapoor. Shahid is soon to tie the knot with his fiancee, Delhi-girl Mira Rajput. The two had gotten engaged in January this year, and are to exchange the matrimonial vows in June. While their Greece wedding will be tracked as far as people will be able to do so, meanwhile, we're more interested in the other Kapoor - Ranbir.
A while back, there were rumours of Ranbir getiing married to Katrina by the end of this year. And then Katrina refuted the rumours, saying that she's not planning on walking down to the altar anytime soon. And now the grapevine is abuzz again with talks of Ranbir and Katrina's roka, which is supposed to be a private ceremony.
Speaking to DNA, Ranbir went ahead and clarified matters. "Let me clear the air. Rokas happen during arranged marriages, where the two families come together and fix the match. Then the girl is not allowed to meet other prospective grooms. That's the idea. You guys know my situation. It's not an arranged marriage. Why would I even need a roka?"
And Kapoor Jr didn't stop at that. About the wedding date and time, he said, "There's no truth to it. Once we decide to get married, everyone will come to know. It will be one of my biggest decisions ever, so we will announce it in a big manner. Right now, I am happy and secure with my life. There is love in my life, and when we decide to take it to the next level, sabko pata chal jaayega."
Ranbir and Katrina have been in the eye of the media for quite some time now, ever since their relationship was discovered. Thereafter, the two actors have mostly been tight-lipped about their relationship status, till a while back. Once the two moved in together, the actors relaxed their stand somewhat, and were seen speaking about each other in public. And while the two still continue to guard their personal lives fiercely, Ranbir has been speaking in interviews and to the media about Katrina and vice versa.
As far as the current crop of actors in Bollywood is concerned, this is one marriage that might just be the biggest in who-knows-how-long. Here's hoping fans of Ranbir and Katrina, and others, get to see the couple married soon!

Salman Khan's on his way to Hollywood?
We'd informed you earlier today how Salman Khan had asked his Twitter followers to follow Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone on the social networking site. In case you don't remember, Khan's tweet had read, "Agar kisi ko follow karna hai? Bahar ka... inko follow karo @TheSlyStallone Aapke Hero ka hero Sylvester Stallone (sic)"
After the first tweet, Khan went on a Stallone-eulogising trip, mentioning how he hadn't seen anybody better than the Hollywood biggie.
"@TheSlyStallone I still workout to eye of the tiger. We all ve seen Rocky n Rambo.. must follow (sic)," his next tweet read, and it was followed by, "@TheSlyStallone Isse beheter body, director, writer, insaan koi nahi hai. I've always followed him in life but my fault not on socialmedia (sic)."
Well, well.
Despite the fact that Salman's tweets were in Hindi, okay Hinglish, mostly, they seem to have found their mark all right. The tweets from the Dabangg star reached Beverly Hills, and the love was reciprocated by the Rambo legend.
Sylvester Stallone posted a series of tweets to show his gratitude for Khan's words, language no barrier.
"Would like to thank the super talented Indian superstar SALMAN KHAN the Compliment he Tweeted! We should do an ACTION FILM together! (sic)" was Stallone's first tweet.
Then came even more surprises for Salman's innumerable fans. Stallone tweeted, "@BeingSalmanKhan Thanks my friend! You have BIG heart! Big talent! Big future ! KEEP PUNCHING , SALMAN! Your friend Sly Stallone (sic)," and followed it with, "Salman, I am very impressed with your many devoted fans. To make a great Action film Sucessful takes MANY great fans who support you, Sly."
And leaving Salman fans basking in extreme euphoria, Stallone signed off with a movie offer to Khan, "Mabye the New EXPENDABLES (sic)."
We're struggling with excitement on our part at the prospect of seeing Salman making his way to Hollywood. And you, too, probably would want to see Salman in a film with Sylvester. Well, fingers crossed for that!

Below average start for Bombay Velvet

Below average start for Bombay Velvet
One of the most awaited releases, Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet releases today, along with Hollywood action flick, Mad Max: Road to Fury.
Despite the expectations from the film, the collections have already taken a beating with a low score of 15 to 20% collections in the opening shows. While the film can look to perform in niche sectors, major multiplexes in Mumbai and Gurgaon are registering low occupancies. The film needs a massive turnaround to register a strong opening day, but judging from the present state, a double-digit day one will be a struggle.
Bombay Velvet faces strong competition from the Hollywood release Mad Max: Road to Fury, which has been performing better at multiplexes as opposed to the Ranbir Kapoor starrer.
Piku, on the other hand, closed its first week on a high. After registering one of the strongest opening weekends this year, the Monday collections only saw a 13% drop and the film collected Rs 4.40 crore. Piku had a steady week with only a slight drop from day to day, going on to collect Rs 4.10 crore on Tuesday, Rs. 4 crore on Wednesday and Rs. 3.70 crore on Thursday.
The first week total for Piku stands at Rs. 41.42 crore domestically. The film needs to achieve a minimum of Rs 55 crore in its lifetime to recover its costs, which seems highly likely.

Bollywood's most glam star at Cannes? VOTE!
The year's most giddily glamorous event is upon us.
When the biggest, brightest and boldest talents across the globe congregate at the French Riviera to highlight the best in film and fashion.
When the biggest, brightest and boldest talents across the globe congregate at the French Riviera to highlight the best in film and fashion.
Indeed it's time for the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, which enters its 68th edition.
Most films that bag a screening here, in or out of competition, are talked about for months to come.
Some turn instant Oscar bait while others are just glad to carry the Cannes imprint for the rest of their lives.
Some turn instant Oscar bait while others are just glad to carry the Cannes imprint for the rest of their lives.
But it's the grand display of sartorial style and showbiz splendour on the red carpet that gives Cannes an edge above the rest.
Over the years, we've witnessed quite an exciting Indian presence at the festival's red carpet.
We picked 10 super stylish memories for you; vote for the MOST sophisticated representation by Bollywood in Cannes.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (2014)

Showcasing Devdas, turning jury member and working up the photo ops as L'Oreal's returning brand ambassador, the Cannes veteran has done it all and for over a decade too.
It was from a cakewalk.
During the first few stints, the 41-year-old was ruthlessly criticised for her drab wardrobe but has upped her game dramatically since.
This va-va-voom appearance in a golden Roberto Cavalli is case in point.
Truth be told, part of the Cannes charm back home is purely based on what this stunner will wear on the red carpet.

Truth be told, part of the Cannes charm back home is purely based on what this stunner will wear on the red carpet.
Well, we won't have to wait for too long. Buzz is her comeback vehicle Jazbaa, directed by Sanjay Gupta, will unveil its first look at the festival this May.
Sonam Kapoor (2011)

Looking at the Dolly Ki Doli star's confident poise in this delicate monochrome Jean Paul Gaultier, who'd say Sonam Kapoor is a first-timer at Cannes?
And true to her fashionista reputation, the Cannes regular keeps things exotic (nose ring) and adventurous (orange lips).
Deepika Padukone (2010)

Still few releases shy of becoming THE Deepika Padukone, the leggy star did her bit at the Cannes razzle-dazzle sashaying in a cream 'n' gold Rohit Bal sari for the red carpet.
Needless to say, the media darling was an instant hit with the French as well as back home.
Vidya Balan (2013)

Talented leading lady Vidya Balan hung out with the likes of Steven Spielberg and Ang Lee while on the jury for Cannes.
Yet it's her clothes that got most attention back home.
Yet it's her clothes that got most attention back home.
Balan too played the desi card to the hilt with her Sabyasachi creations ranging from flamboyant to classy accessorised with pearls, polki, nose rings and dupatta draped in a ghoongat.
Some of it worked like a charm, other not so much.

Freida Pinto (2014)

The Slumdog Millionaire actress landed international celebritydom and a lucrative contract with L'Oreal following Danny Boyle's Oscar-winning drama.
Then again, who cares about her overrated fame, when the 30-year-old Mumbai-born looks this consistently elegant on the red carpet?
What's not to love about her old Hollywood glam vibe in a side bun and metallic Sanchita gown?

Kalki Koechlin (2012)

While most fair-complexioned women would appear washed-out in that shade of peach, Kalki Koechlin does exceedingly well in her Dior creation.
Impeccably styled and accessorised, the actress was there to support ex-husband Anurag Kashyap, at the premiere of his film, Gangs of Wasseypur.
Nandita Das (2005)

Even in her comfort zone, Nandita Das is a picture of grace and beauty.
During her jury role at Cannes 2005, the actress/filmmaker stuck to a lovely attire of woven Anuradha Vakil saris and churidar, which made a statement without being too obvious.
On her website, Das writes how she was teased to be the 'lightest juror' because unlike other girls and fellow jurors she hadn't packed a luggage full of designer dresses and diamonds.
Arjun Rampal (2012)

Although he was there only to promote Chivas as its brand ambassador, Arjun Rampal made quite an impression in Rohit Bal-designed Jodhpur pants and bandhgala while better half Mehr Jessia stuck to her favourite Tarun Tahiliani.
The Roy hero tweeted about getting Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to sign autographs for his daughters.
Minissha Lamba (2011)

We've seen her on big screen. We've watched her on Bigg Boss. And we've admired her on the red carpet at Cannes.
Minissha Lamba cuts quite an elegant picture in her flowy Gauri & Nainika number.
Considering how even the best of them bungle up under pressure, this is quite a self-assured debut.

One sees the bubbly star of super-hits like Kal Ho Naa Ho and Koi... Mil Gaya mostly in a Kings XI Punjab jersey these days.
No wonder people neglect to remember she's Bollywood's most effortless if underrated style divas.
